About The Artwork:

There is a deeper, hidden world inside most people you meet, most art you see, and most situations you encounter. Strive to dig deeper, find out more, and see what is beneath the surface. That is where the true magic may be found. This is "Beneath The Surface," my first black and white illustration created in 2019.

Look closely, and you can see the symbolism of hands, leaves, bricks, eyes and flames in "Beneath The Surface." The hands represent creativity, skill, and craftsmanship - essential qualities for bringing something new into the world. The leaves symbolize growth and renewal, a reminder that there is always hope, no matter our struggles. They suggest a transformation journey, the potential to make something old into something new again. The bricks symbolize perseverance - the power of determination to see something through regardless of the challenges that may come our way. They remind us that with strength and courage, we can build something beautiful from whatever life throws at us. The eyes represent clarity of thought and the ability to see beyond what is immediately visible. They suggest a broader perspective, essential for understanding any situation's depths. Finally, there is a flame - a symbol of intensity and passion.

Together, these symbols create an atmosphere of mystery and possibility. They invite us to take a journey beneath the surface, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This is not just an invitation to look further into this artwork; it's also a call to explore our inner depths. Going deep into our thoughts, feelings, and experiences, we can gain invaluable insight into the deeper meaning of life.

"The beautiful invariably possesses a visible and a hidden beauty; and it is certain that no style is so beautiful as that which presents to the attentive reader a half-hidden meaning." — Joseph Joubert
