Enigma Book

Karien has created a beautiful compilation of her incredible artwork coupled with deep and thoght-provoking poetry. Her talents and passion are a gift to all who engage with her work!

The book is very interesting with the drawings and poems that seem to go with them. Some tend to make you think about what and how she came about making them.

As I have looked at the pictures Karien drew, the poem beside it seems to tell some of the story she is getting across in the book. I bought 2 other books for my son and daughter, so they and their family can enjoy it, too.

This book is an extremely intimate journey into the mind and soul of Karien. It is amazing how she frames her personal truths in ways that challenge her readers to be honest with themselves. Many of her illustrations and poems guided me through my own introspective journey of self-discovery. I can’t recommend this book enough. Thank you Karien. Thank you for sharing your story and talents with the world.

This volume of poetry and illustrations is a joy from start to finish. Words and images combine in a dreamlike and soul-stirring exploration of our deepest humanity. I'll treasure my own copy, and add Karien Bredenkamp's Enigma to the top of my gift ideas list.
